More and more common error with our RX-8s when this little motor dies due to age, wear or faulty gasket letting water inside the sensor.

Symptoms of faulty APV actuator:
-Car is down on power by 30-45WHP from ~6100rpm
-Weird mechanical noise in couple of seconds after you turn the engine off
