Well known RX-8 issue is the failure of the coolant level sensor also the reservoir itself.
This product comes together as an easy replacement part fixing not one but minimum two issues at the same time.

Symptom of faulty level sensor:
If you are experiencing a red radiator warning light on your dash but the actual coolant level in the reservoir is in limits, it is highly likely that the level sensor is faulty.

Symptom of faulty reservoir:
Visually check where the filler neck connects to the reservoir, you might see discolouration or even hairline cracks. If this is the case, the reservoir can break technically anytime causing coolant leak > causing overheating > causing a bad time for you and your wallet.
